Since 2003, the M2 Consulting Group, Ltd. has specialized in helping organizations and individuals achieve a level of success that they may not have been able to accomplish on their own.  Success, of course, can be defined and perceived in many different forms depending on one’s circumstance.  For one individual or organization it can mean delivering a critical project on time and within budget to ensure that they remain profitable and are able to stay in business.  For an individual, it could mean doing a good job and receiving that next promotion or it could be overcoming a serious illness that could have led to their demise.  Author L.G. Elliott captures some of the key elements of success in the following quote:

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is very simple and straight forward and addresses the key elements of success noted in the quote above: Help our clients visualize success and implement a plan of action for achieving it.  If one is unable to visualize what success looks like and a plan of action for achieving it, then they will never realize their goal.

Who We Are:

The M2 Consulting Group, Ltd. was founded, in 2003, by Michael G. Martin, PMP.  Mike is an internationally recognized consultant, speaker, trainer, and author with over 25 years experience in helping organizations worldwide achieve excellence. As an independent practitioner and advisor, Michael is able to provide a unique and unbiased perspective into the tools, techniques, and approaches that can help organizations achieve a level of success that they may not have thought possible before.  This independent perspective provides clients with potential alternatives to the cookie cutter methodologies and tools often promoted by consultancies and technology firms that do not have the same level of independence.  As a result, Michael has helped both public and private sector organizations worldwide save millions of dollars and achieve a level of operational excellence that they would not have otherwise achieved. 

Mike is a noted author of several books, including Delivering Project Excellence with the Statement of Work, 2nd Edition (Management Concepts, Inc., 2010) and Federal Statements of Work: A Practical Guide (Management Concepts, Inc., 2008).  He is also a contributing author of The 77 Deadly Sins of Project Management (Management Concepts, Inc., 2009) and the Field Guide to Project Management, 2nd Edition (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2004).  His forthcoming book Cohesion – A Short Story on Building a Cohesive Team, which is scheduled for release in late 2010, draws on Mike’s experience as a collegiate athlete and years of research on the key elements necessary for building a cohesive team.
