Projects can get off track and in trouble very quickly without proper project management oversight. A project audit is defined as “An independent, unbiased structured assessment of an organizations project management methods and policies in managing the cost, schedule, resources, scope, and quality of a project, program, or portfolio of projects.” Conducting a project audit will help expose any problems that may have occurred or are about to occur and, in turn, will provide you with an opportunity to take corrective action and get the issue fixed before it negatively impacts the project.
